Fundraising film event will take place in Rostov

18 July 2018

Fundraising screenings supporting ‘Give Life’ fund of Chulpan Khamatova and Dina Korzun will take place in the framework of the IV International Motivational Film and Sport Festival BRIDGE of ARTS in August 22-26.

Fundraising screenings will include films directed by Russian filmmakers and representing the main idea of BRIDGE of ARTS that is encouragement for goal achievement and positive outlook on life. Half of the money raised will be donated to children suffering from blood cancer and other diseases. These children are taken care of by ‘Give Life’ fund established in 2006 by actresses Chulpan Khamatova and Dina Korzun.

— Films that will be screened appeal to move forward, to embrace challenges, to get stronger and overcome possible difficulties. Compassion, desire to help those in need, those who find it harder to live in this cruel world,  is one of the best human virtues. Inviting viewers and participants we want to remind that giving things to others means truly possessing them, — Oleg Taktrarov, BRIDGE of ARTS president, commented.

Expert commission has started planning the fundraising event and selecting films. Full information about film screenings in Rostov-on-Don and film schedule will be soon announced. The fundraising event will also comprise charity auction and celebrity football match. BRIDGE of ARTS has traditionally paid a lot of attention to social campaigns. In previous years the festival was accompanied by children film sector, screenings with audio description and activities attended by physically challenged people. Moreover, annually film and television stars visiting the festival go to nursing homes of Rostov-on-Don and Taganrog and present films to those unable to go to the cinema.
