The shootings of TV series under the working title “Chelnochnitsy” (female shuttle) for the “Russia 1” TV channel began in Aviagorodok, a micro district of Bataysk (near Rostov-on-Don). The film crew began its work today at 7:00.
The setting of the TV series is in 1994 in Voskhod, a village near Moscow. The film decorations are set on the main square in front of Aviagorodok House of Culture. According to the director, the micro district was chosen due to the visual similarity with Russian localities of the late twentieth century.
«Why are we shooting on the Don territory? Well, where is it summer now? » — commented Julia Krasnova, the director of the TV series.
